Home base is Wilderness Farms Road in Locust Grove

Tree work from Locust Grove to Fredericksburg

Scott Keen drives out from Locust Grove with his own crew and his own machines, so the person who walks your property and gives the verdict is the same person standing on it when the saws start. These are the five towns that get the most calls. Lake Anna, Lake of the Woods and Stafford are covered too.

Locust Grove

Locust Grove is home base, the town the trucks leave from. Premier trims and prunes, takes down small and large hazardous, dead or unwanted trees, grinds stumps, and handles tree health and fertilization for homes and commercial properties. Lots here are wooded and the soil is Piedmont red clay, which holds water in summer storms and lets a loaded oak lean. Around Lake of the Woods, Robin Mountjoy wrote that Scott “and his company have always provided efficient and reasonable service to our home in Lake of the Woods.” Lot clearing and grading come out of the same yard, see lot clearing.

Orange

Out toward Orange the properties get bigger and the trees get older. That usually means a few large limbs hanging over a roof or a drive, or a dead hardwood that has to come down in pieces because there is nowhere safe to drop it. Scott walks the trees with you, tells you which ones come down now, which can wait, and which are healthy and should stay. Then the crew does the trimming, removal or stump grinding and clears the debris. Residential and commercial work are both fair game, and every estimate is free. Bumpass

Bumpass sits close to Lake Anna, and so do a lot of the calls. Shoreline lots have tall trees crowding houses, docks and decks, and wet ground that a heavy machine can scar if nobody plans the access. One Lake Anna owner wrote: “We had him walk around with us on our property at Lake Anna to examine all of our trees.” That walk is how every job here starts. Removal, trimming, stump grinding and clean-up follow, and rounds can be left behind if you want firewood. Stumps can be ground the same visit; the details are on the stump grinding page.

Spotsylvania

Spotsylvania has older neighborhoods and newer lots, and sooner or later a tree ends up too close to a house. Premier takes down the ones that are hazardous, dead or simply unwanted, prunes the ones that are worth keeping, and feeds trees that are struggling so they have a chance to recover. When a lot is being cleared for new construction, the goal is to take what has to go and leave the hardwoods that make the property worth living on. Excavating and grading can be part of the same job; start with the excavating and grading page.

Fredericksburg

Fredericksburg is covered too, along with Stafford just north of it. Tighter yards and nearby fences, roofs and roads mean a removal here is often a careful, piece-by-piece job rather than a simple felling. Alexis wrote that Scott and his crew removed two very large trees close to a house, a fence and a major roadway without doing damage. Trimming, removal, stump grinding and landscaping work are all available for homes and commercial properties. If you are not sure what a tree needs, call and ask. Scott will tell you straight, and you can read what other customers said.
